My Favourite Haircare Products

Evening everybody, hope you're all well. Today's post is a bit about my hair, now those of you who've been readers for a long time, may have read my last hair post. If you haven't, just a little bit of an intro… I have the most tangly hair in the world, and I moult constantly. A couple of months ago I dyed my hair white blonde, and it became even more of a tangled mess. So I had to come up with an intensive haircare routine, and these are some of my favourite products.

I use the Touch of Silver Collection of shampoos and conditioners in the shower, including the intensive brightening shampoo, which is super deep violet. I couldn't photograph them particularly well because the purple pigment was staining my background. The collection keeps my hair super white blonde and removes any brassiness. Then I condition my hair lots and lots and lots, otherwise it's impossible to brush out when it's wet.

Once I'm out of the shower, I towel dry my hair off gently, or sometimes I leave it in my towel turban to dry off a little. Before brushing I use Tresemme Renewal Hair and Scalp this is a tonic that was given to me by my lovely housemate Mercedes - you can find her over at Mermaids Makeup. This product is really refreshing for the scalp, especially as I get scalp psoriasis and it can get really sore and cracked. I run the product quite liberally through my roots and then brush it through gently with my Tangle Teezer. This promotes a healthy scalp and this helps grow healthy and nourished hair. Although it doesn't specify this on the product, I'm sure it is helping my hair grow quicker and longer!

Next I use my L'Oreal Extraordinary Oil, this is a product that intrigued me as soon as I saw the advert I few years ago. I loved that you can use it in the shower, on wet and dry hair. I've tried it in all different ways, but I personally like to run it through my damp hair. I put a few pumps of the oil on my fingers and run it mostly through the lengths, and put the remaining product through my roots. This makes my hair much more manageable, easier to brush through and the oil smells amazing. If my hair is particularly fluffy after my blow dry, I use a tiny bit of the product to smooth any flyaways.

Last product I use is the Schwarzkopf Pro Styling Heat Protection Spray. This protects hair up to 220 degrees celsius, which pretty much covers all of your standard hair tools. I apply this liberally all over my hair and then I can blow dry my hair without causing it any damage!

Let me know if you use any of these products and what you think. Or if you use any products for tangled hair that you'd recommend, I'd love to hear about them.

Lots of love, N x
